Harmonic Balancer length

Could someone please measure the overall length & also the length of the shaft of the harmonic balancer from a Speed 6? I may have to take the head off and I would like to attempt to do this with the engine I situ.

Hi, I have just mesured an harmonic balancer,the overall depth mesures 55mm and the shaft it's sits on protrudes 25mm from the casing, I hope this helps

I've had mine off a couple of times with the engine in. Its tight but it goes relatively easy once the pulley has budged.

That is exactly what I needed, thank you for measuring the balancer for me....is that with the balancer still on the crank?

Hi rob, the measurments I have given you are of the harmonic balancer when removed from the engine. Somthime they come off easily, so..... Good luck

What method did you use to get it off ? I now have the crank bolt out...but damn, is that balancer on tight. My Machine Mart puller started to bend last night so I stopped tightening. Need to think about better ways now.
