Fuel Pump failure?
Discussion
Found out (I think) why the car's cutting out! It seems the fuel pump is just stopping. My reason for coming to this conclusion is that the cars is a swine to re-start and you can't hear the pump kicking in when you turn the key. Obviously, then suddenly the pump kicks in and bingo! Is the pump stopping likely to be a pump failure or is there other possible faults e.g fuel cut-off switch - ecu issues?? Is the pump fairly easy to change? Where is it?? Many thanks for any replies...
i had exacly the same fault with mine.it would just die on me and not restart. then all of a sudden it would kick back in and run no problem. i tested all the fuel pump wiring with no faults found. i fitted a new fuel pump relay and every thing is fine. the relay is a standard vauxhall one. i fitted a durite one "part number 0-723-23" if you need one i can post you one out just give me a call on 01782 574900
