How's this for an impulse buy
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1922895.htm

Now have two bloody TVR's!

I know nothing about Tuscans!!!! Any tips, bearing in mind I have already bought it, worthwhile upgrades etc.

That looks like a bargain to me. Interested to know the details of the 'new' engine. I'm guessing it's a rebuild with paperwork to support it? That with Nitrons would have been two things to look for. On face value I can't see what's wrong with it. Ah hang on, it's the dash, in a light colour it reflects onto the windscreen in bright sunlight. That's why it's so cheap ;-) Just kidding! Welcome to the world of Tuscan ownership. I wish you many happy trouble free and grin filled miles!

Engine rebuild by TVR Power in 2008. Needs a front end respray and the cabin could do with a day spent on it, also the pod needs replacing.. Not a garage queen. Other than that I think it is what it is. It felt sooooooo planted compared to the chim. All paperwork present & correct.

The seller is a pistonhead (don't know why that fill's you with a bit more confidence?, just does). On the test drive I was blown away, I have had some quick cars before but the Tuscan along with an awesome driver (depressing to know that I will never be that good!)blew me away. I will now have to get used to the S6 noise, damn going to miss the burble - is two TVR's just greedy smile

Any thoughts on respray (may just live with it for a while) and where can I get the pod done?

Picking her (it, him?) up on Thursday so it is a little like the day before the day before Christmas. My neighbours are really going to love me now!

looks like a good buy,,well done.

Only thing I can see is it looks like it is missing some TVR wheel centres and I would change the orange indicators to clear and change the lights to Zennons(sorry about the spelling) as the standard ones are quiet poor and it gives a more modern look to the car.

And Carbon Cans are a must serious amout of popping and banging with them, but only if the car still has it's cats in, if they have been removed it's WAY TOO LOUD...

You will grow to like the S6 sound track. My old man has a Griff 500, and whilst that sounds great at idle and lower rev's it just dosnt have that manic scream/whail the S6 does. Plus when you plant it in 3rd the rev's just keep going and going and going.
