window problem

hi all. recently i had to change the battery on my tuscan. after fitting the new battery the drivers window will not open when using the dial switch. it opens and closes fine when using the remote to lock/open the doors.

once in the car and after closing the door i can "catch" the window half open by spinning the window switch. then no matter which way i spin the switch the window closes but will not open again until i open the door.

any ideas or thoughts on this would be much apreciated.

First thought : you have to reset the control box for the driversdoor.

Resetting can be tried by dis- and connect the battery.
Otherwise you have tho dis- and connect the control box itself. Its located under the central cover that is mounted around the gear-lever/handbrake.

ok i have swapped the connections over from the switch, ie the passenger door switch now controls the drivers door. it works fine.

i have tried to find a supplier to sell me the switch unit under the spining dial !!!its as rare as rocking horse poo apparently!!!!

anyone know where i can find this switch?????
