Help! Reverse light and MOT
Discussion
The cars booked in for an MOT tomorrow and the reverse light isn't working. The brake lights are fine, so it can't be the fuse. I've put a DMM over the connector at the light and I'm getting nothing. My guess is the switch or it's connector. Where do I find them? I'm guessing above the gearbox somewhere.

Seriously? thats very good news. The trick now is to rotate the chunky collar at the base of the stick (with the 'striker' attached) so that the striker hits the ball of the reverse light switch..... without having the reverse light coming on in 4th gear :-).
You can see what I did!! If you remove the stick extension, then make sure it is fully seated befor re-assembly - - else you'll have the reverse light 'on' whilst in 5th gear!!
As the Haynes manual says - 'assembly is the reverse of removal'.
Good luck, Nick.
