Havent been out too often of late but Saturday afternoon managed to get out for a blast, was just on the way home grinning from ear to ear after a great drive out.
Spotted an R34 up ahead (at least i think it was, quite square, electric blue, HUGE intercooler intake on the front with HKS? written on it).
Well gave her a few beans as i rumbled past to see if it wanted to play, we were on open dual carriageway nothing around, two free lanes up ahead, i half wondered if i was going to but extremely shown up...
Well, it did want to play, i pulled into the inside lane and he nailed it...as it got level with me, so did i
You know what....
To my astonishment i not only pulled level but then started to undertake the guy!
We got to illegal speeds and backed off
but i was very very impressed, the tuscan was confidently quicker!!
He pulled in front of me as we backed off and showed a blink of acknowledgment with hazard lights, but my god, it was the best fun i had in ages...

TBH I haven't managed to take her out that much this year but I know how addictive they are, jeez there has to be something special to make me spend as much as I have to get her right again in the last 18 months!!

Just had a run into the Forest of Dean and back, no one to play with just a few tractors and a school bus to pass.
Fully warmed up the acceleration is pretty impressive.
I did lose out to a Jag X type who pulled away from me really quickly. In my defence it was a winding single track lane covered in mud, I didn't want to get the car too dirty so went along it at 15 mph!

The 3-Litre AWD X-Types really perform well on wet or slippy roads. In these conditions, I can make much faster progress in my X-Type than my Chim500!FreeLitres said:
