Tuscan won't start (earthing Problem)
Discussion
I have a 2001 tuscan and it wont start. It's not a flat battery and spoke to a dealer and thinks its an earthing problem. Any know where the earthing points are so i can have a look myself. Or does anyone have any ideas to why else it wont start. Can anyone please help before i pay dealers fees. Many thanks.
I seam to remember the main one on the chassis near the batery with a few conections, batery to chassis and from there to engine.(also a 100a fuse down there or in the footwell)
Also earth conection in the boot (posibly top of fuel tank area),
Take a jump lead streight from the -ve terminal of the batery to the chassis or engine
A little more info as to
do you have ignition lights, alarm working, etc may help with your posting
Good luck for a cheap fast fix

There are few earth points, one on right side front by the engine mount, chassis to engine, passenger footwell, battery box, then the main one is the chassis ground at right front just below the steel radiator pipe. Taken from G.Varley's link: http://www.varleyhyd.com/FJ062.asp

not enugh electrickery to the starter motor?
possible batery low in charge,or conect junp leads,
Bad conection on batery or engine earth or +at starter motor.
If you take a -ve from batery to engine or startermotor boddy try again,
IF care full put a +ve from battery to the nut on the starter motor where the incoming lead is (youll have to remove air filter to gain acess to starter)
the above should tell you if theres a bad comection
You could try pushing or towing it to start it but Some say this can dammage the pussy cat if the engine floods, (so an advantage if the car is decated)
