Sticky Throttle

Hi guys,

Been out tonight and seem to be suffering with 'sticky throttle' has anyone got an easy to follow guide on greasing up the throttle assembly?

It might be the cable itself, mine snapped at the pedal end so it could be that your cable is starting to fray and is now catching on the plastic outer sleeve.

i had this on a car before i removed cable at throttle put up in air and trickled engine oil down cable and pushed/pulled cable to help oil travel further down its worth a bash anyway

My Mk1 Tuscan used to stick when I first got it.
It was a little corrosion on the bushes of the pedal pivet shaft.

Used to spray it with wd40 and it cleared up.

I had a similar problem and had the cable changed however the problem persisted.

I unscrewed the pedal box cover and removed it and cleaned it all up. I sprayed with plenty of WD40 and all has been fine for a year now. It is a very simple procedure and I'm not great with the spanners!

Do it sooner rather than later, as mentioned above the consequences of leaving it could be horrific.

Hi guys, thanks for all the suggestions. When I managed to dig her out of the snow I will give it a try!
