Bonnet opening conversion

Hi all, now the proud owner of a Mk1 Tuscan (Cerb sold over Christmas) and I want to ask if anyone knows who could do the bonnet conversion for the Tuscan. I am in the Surrey area.

Ok thanks. I had read the posts about people who did their own conversions but I wouldn`t feel confident enough to do my own. Surface and Design are too far from me unfortunately.

I looked at it and then decided against it for the time being. I had to get the bonnet off a few times and managed fine so I put it to the bottom of the list. It is an easy job to do on my own.

Give Plasticman on here a call he has carried out a good conversion with electro magnets to hold everything in place and a dual bonnet opening that looks very smart.He is based in near Bedford so not too far for you to travel.

That sounds expensive.. I think the conversion is a good 800+, I am sure that the money would be spent better elsewhere on the car. Of course that is my humble opinion..

i have to agree, i can remove the main bonnet on my own quite easily and, im sure, it is far better working on the car with it missing than poking up in the air in the way.

Sorry Arapo I must have misread the OPs question thought he wanted to know where to get the conversion done not alternatives to spend the money on!

Point taken about the cost of the conversion but I will be looking to get a respray next year and don`t want to risk scratching new paint. I am going to ask the guy who sprayed my Cerb if he can do the mods then prior to respray.
