Water Temp Fault
Discussion
Can some one tell me where the water temp sensor for the ECU is on the engine block. I think it either needs replacing or needs cleaning. (simple instruction required as this will be only the second time I have had the main bonnet off!!!)
I have had an intermitant ECU fault which the diagnostics reveal a WATER TEMP LOG Fault.
When driving the fan relay clicks and the fans kick in regardless of the water temp. Usually about 75deg. This shows an ECU Fault on the LCD screen, but it clears if you let the temp rise to the normal point when you would expect the fans to kick in. Once the temp drops the fault clears but back on normal driving the fault re-appears.
