Folks

I have to go to Abu Dhabi for at least 5 months at the end of next week and for a variety of other reasons need to sell my Mk1 Tuscan 4.0L Red Rose.

It's just had a complete reflex charcoal respray (I get it back on Monday), the half time bearing just changed by Power, a new clutch 10k ago as well as Mk2 front (not lights) and rear (inc. new diffuser). It's got about 48k on the clock and had an engine rebuild at about 12k. I doubt it will ever be in better condition. No track days and I've had it for 6 years (and I'm the second owner)

I can't advertise it and wait for a buyer as I won't be here to show it off, test drives etc. and I don't want to get ripped off by "webuyanycar.com" for instance........what shall I do ?

All help/practical ideas gratefully received !

If you need to sell quickly, you're going to struggle to avoid getting 'ripped off'. Take it to your prefered TVR 'dealer' and see if they can take it off your hands (if you need the cash quickly) or see if they will take it on a 'selling for customer' basis where they will take an agreed percentage or fixed sale fee.

Tony at Hexham Horseless has done both for North East TVRCC members recently without too much pain. Either way, if you don't have the time to use the private sale market, you'll have to take a hit on the value!

Might be worth posting some pictures of the car and seeing the interest. There are a few people looking at the moment.

You can give it to me. I'll look after it for the next 5 months for you.
