Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the internal heater ECU pins? Just had the ECU refurbed and now it works but only for 50 seconds before the fan stops, but if you turn it off at the fan speed control leave for more than 1 minute then turn it back on, it works for another 50 seconds. Any ideas? I have had the usual burnt out pin hard wired.

Froggie, thanks. Before I start rummaging can it be accessed with relative TVR ease from the passenger footwell?

That is exactly what mine does. I would be very interested to know how you fix it. I cant find my ecu though

Located up under passenger carpet, if you want to swap it to test it let me know.

Think that is right, don't burn me if it isn't.

Thanks, I will have another look. I gather its on the passenger side, is it near the central tunnel or on the other side of the car?

it seems to change, mine is near the door side but others say the tunnel side. It is right behind the carpet and held up with velcro, it might be better hidden on yours. It dropped down that is why I knew it was there. If you look at the first photo, it was taken upside down facing up and the box is right by the black pipe. There seems to be a gap for it to fit in.

Finally found the heater ecu...yippee.

I was expecting to see a burnt out pin but all pins are clean and shiny.

So why does my heater fan turn itself off after a few minutes and then re-start a few minutes later before turning off again?

Any ideas?

It sounds like a dry joint, warms up then cuts out etc. You can use mine if you want to test it?

What do you mean by a "dry joint"?

Dry joint is where the solder isn't connected where the boards are connected or the components are joined to the board. When the fault occurs does it always last for exactly the same time? The only other reason may be a component fault on the board or a wiring/connector fault. What was it refurbed for?
Can you swap with another ECU to check the ECU? Interesting that Blueg33 has the same fault. I don't know the ECU well enough to know what else is on the circuit maybe a relay, I wish there was a wiring diagram for these cars make life easier.

That would be great thanks. It would be worth meeting up at some point, I'd love to see your car. Do you go to any of the Cotswold TVRCC meets?

Meant to check the valve clearances and give the cams etc a check. List of things currently to do before summer :

Valve Clearances
Chassis check
Refit anderson socket

tyres
power cable
clean interior
HID kit main
