Raising the steering rack and increasing ride height
Discussion
Well today I took the Convertible out with the Supcardriver Boys(and girl) around Lake Bala and the Evo triangle. It's the first time I really given it a test since raising the rack 5mm and up'ing the ride height by 5mm . The result ... It's superb ... I'm not the best/fastest/bravest driver about ... but it was far less scarey on bumpy roads at over 100 ...really handled well ... I confess I could not keep up with the Porsche GT3R or mad Richs' F360 Spider or the Corvette GT2 C5R or the F308GTS ..... But I enjoyed myself and no brown trouser moments

X-works (Heath) did it for me, just extra spacer(besides the 5mm already there) between the rack and chassis ... I did not know about Jason mod at the time ... otherwise I would have gone for that... next year I think I'll get Jasons retro fitted. I reckon far less bump steer, not because of theory or measurement but just the feel of the car.
Interesting that the Mk2 benefits from this mod. Always led to believe that TVR had got them sorted by then....clearly not! Do you also have the front wheel spacers fitted?
BTW, I lay claim to the Str8six bump steer mod idea!!

Given they are Saggy arms I think strictly speaking TVR beat you to the idea (and anyway you knicked it from Graham V´s suggestion

)
Fitting them to Tuscans....did he.....when?
Anyway, I think the saggy arms came about because of the raised suspension mounts in relation to the rack which wasn't re-positioned. I'm guessing that they eliminated the bump steer at the same time when designing them for the Sag?
Consequently I'd be interested to know if the Str8six steering arms are actually the Saggy arms? Theoretically for the other t-cars with the standard suspension pick-ups they'd need to be different again, unless the Saggy steering arms can be made to work with a revised rack height??
