Hi everybody, very impressed with the overall quality and openess of the forum.
Looking to spend £30kish on a Tuscan and wouldn't mind a bit of feedback and advice. Have read and talked to dealers about the early speed six engine problems, and have no wish to own a problem car. Therefore, it seems to me better to look for a late 02 or early 03 car with higher mileage rather than an early car with low mileage where the engine may have problems which haven't surfaced yet.
So my question is, anyone know how reliable the later engines are over high mileages, as it will be an everyday car for me? And any other issues that are better on the later cars?
thanks
Richard

rbryant said:sorry i cant answer your first part of the questions, but what i can tell you is that the chassis/suspension improves as they get more recent, also the trim and overall build quality improves in the same way.like most models of tvr.the more recent the better,as the customers do all the long term development!

I've bought a low mileage 2001 model, picked it up this weekend. I plan to drive this every day too puttin g about 12k miles a year on it. I have a good waranty and I bought it from a main dealer so I feel reasonably comforable. I expect that there will be problems but these should be resolved without too much pain.
I guess you have to take the plunge at some point
. So far (2 days) it's great, already fixed the first problem.
