Well looks like i am not getting the tuscan anymore i am totally gutted, not going to go too much into it as i feel my anger building but after 5 weeks of utter turmoil(sp) of yes i'm getting the car.. no i'm not yes i am and having paid a deposit i have been told i can't have it! Excuse after axcuse and not answering my calls i was told the night before i go to pick her up the final excuse...."can't get finance on a 10yr old car" suddenly though the car dissapears from the web so starting to think they have sold it to someone else so going to collect my deposit tomorrow morning and cry quietly afterwards.

Haz, I noticed that "your" Tuscan was still listed for sale on PH just a few days ago, so wondered if there had been a problem.

There's plenty more fish in the sea...
Yeah noticed it there on PH right through while waiting on the work getting done on it which worried me as i thought when i bought the car it should of been taken off when i put the deposit down and the deal was done, so been watching it on the garages website and PH every day, and it was removed on Wednesday and replaced with a white focus St... very sus but end of the day I think i'v had a lucky escape if this is the garages attitude.

Even being a complete novice on the TVR scene, I had to tell him what was wrong with the heater(after you guy's advice of course) he was going to completely rip the dash out!

Narrow escape me thinks and now saving to buy one cash in a couple of years so I will be back guys.

Yes got it back, had phoned last night to pre warn him i was coming up for my deposit but he was with another customer so I was told he would phone back but he didnt, so when i phoned after an hour he had gone home without bothering to return my call, so told his partner i was coming up in the morning for my deposit and he said that's fine we will have it here.... rofl he didnt have the cash this morning! so i waited on him going to the cash machine to get it and had a wander round and surprise the tuscan was in the workshop redface

On his return i asked him if he had sold it to someone else and he said yes! It took me all my strength not to hit him or start on him (especially giving up smoking today lol) so just turned round, got in the car and drove off!

Determination and hard saving will get me my tuscan one day smile and will buy it private next time for sure

A quick check of the OP's previous posts suggest someone called Gordon Reid.

Can't get finance on a 10-year old car? Any of the resident dealers care to comment? Smells fishy to me.

I mentioned this once before on another thread, but I understand there's a legal claim to the value of the car in situations such as this. Even if that is the case, it might be that accepting your deposit back invalidates such a claim, but might be worth a check, if only to teach him a lesson!

Finance was all set that is why I put a deposit down, then he gave the excuse that it hadnt... even wanted me to leave my scooby which was being taken in part exchange, which i refused to do and just as well. Only when i went to collect my deposit did he own up to selling the car to someone else

hi everybody. reading everyones posts,it seems that you are all baffald. it's seems to me,that he has sold it to the highest bidder.the other person has paid more money than you have.if i was the dealer i'd do the same too.it's plain and clear.most money wins.

Generally i'd agree but once a deposit has been paid, I'd have to disagree with you; otherwise what's the point of a deposit? I'm with the OP; I'd be really f*cked off if that happened to me.

Sounds like you had a bit of a lucky escape OP; best of luck in finding a car when the time is right.
