Just gauging interest, what about me making some of these shark nosed tips in carbon and then having either stainless or carbon body.

Simon.

Could you make the oval ends?

Yes, could be made exactly the same as shark nose but from carbon instead of stainless steel.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. The look I am after is similar to these or the RG oval tail trims.

They are the same cans as the picture posted above just fitted to a different car. I intend to make the same shape outlet cap but in carbon fibre not stainless as the pictures show. Does this explain it better.

It's really the full stainless steel / titanium can I would be looking for. Would that be a possibility?

Yes thanks. I couldn't see the shape of the outlet cap on that picture.
I think I would also prefer full stainless if possible. Any idea of cost?

I would be interested too dependant on price. I think the RG full oval shark nose are avail but I have been advised that I would need a whole new system right up to the manifold. Sales technique or are the RG oval cans heavier? Not sure.

On speaking with Chas a while back, the RG tailpipe trims are heavier but could still be fitted to the standard exhaust system if it is in good condition. Their whole intermediate system was a little pricey for my liking; £460 plus vat for the intermediate pipes and £270 plus vat for the oval tailpipes.

"The stainless steel oval tailtrims are heavier than your CCC tailtrims, but
The key issue is the condition of your lateral rear boxes. If the stubs are
in good condition – so far as the welding at the junctures with the rear
boxes is concerned – it is safe enough to attach the oval tailtrims without
the intermediate silencers"

@ Simon: What do you think, how long does it take to get the oval shark nose exhaust in carbon from you? What about the price for a quiet pair of those cans?

Like discussed on the telephone yesterday, I'm searching for an alternative to the straight ones which are actually mounted on my Tuscan S....

best regards
MikeB.

So sounds like we have 5 or 6 of us interested so far then - subject to price and spec - anyone else?
