what's the story with the meta alarm then.

according to the instructions.. I press the thing and
it winds the windaes up, and flashes indicators twice and is now locked and activated.

which is good.

But sometimes when I do this it beeps 4 times too. why ?

It always deactivates silently.. one flash and unlocked.

On this particular model if you wait 9 seconds after you have turned the car off and exited the car, then lock it, you will get no bleeps. It's waiting for the engine Immobiliser to kick in which takes 9 seconds after you take the key out of the ignition barrel.

Stu, its the same on the Tamora. You have my mail if you want any specifics.

Are you coming to the Mid Essex Meet Sunday? If so I would like to get a picture to the Tuscan and the Tamora toghter. I forgot to do that before I let the car go. Also I'm hoping that my old Chimp will be there so I can get a pic of all three toghter, If not not probs.

it will beep if you set the alarm before the interior light goes out.

It beeps to tell you there is something on (usually the interior light as this stays on for a few seconds after closing the door or boot), if the interior light is off, then the alarm sets without any beeps.

The immobilisor sets after 15 seconds isnt it? I thought that was the Thatcham standard

I think it must be the immobiliser, I have my interior light switched off and mine does it unless I wait about 10 seconds!

any ideas on how to turn the sensitivity down. Mines is being triggered by passing cars and any cars that park up next to it.

Dealer told me that interior light would cause beeps. Seems to take ages before alarm will arm without beeps.

I too have a problem with alarm going off, goes off when I open the garage door in the morning. Still it warns the neighbours to put their heads under the pillow before I start up .

My alarm went off today for about 15 minutes and could not turn it off via the fob. Eventually it stopped but now about 30 seconds after I set it, I get 4-5 fast beeps - then a bit later it goes off. All the doors and boot are shut. Is there some way of resetting it. I wondered about disconnecting the battery but can't see how you get to it.
