Hi guys, I have chance to go over to states with my work, has anyone done this, if so, any advice would be appreciated

If the car was not legal originally in the US and does not have type certification, (crash tests , US regs etc), then you are SOL. I have seen a few older TVRs in the US, but you need to check very carefully if the car is going to be importable at all.

I also know someone who has one of two Griffith 500's out there so there must be a way.

I think it can be done, I believe there is a trick, something about importing with car the engine removed (like an uncompleted kit car) but I haven't looked into it any further!

You can take it on UK plates for the first 12 months. Just the same as driving into France or taking a car over the border from Canada.

Isn't there a way around by classing them as show cars or similar with a low miles limit on use? I remember reading about people like Bill Gates using it as a way to own non compliant super cars.
