Gradually working through the poor bits of my trim, rear speaker panels first, anyone changed the targa roof panel interior trim? Mine is flock and would like to change as it looks a little low key.

i would like to see what the result is for the rear speaker panels. What are you covering them with?

I think I can live with the flock on the roof, but I will get the door cards sorted soon as the flock on those is not great, speaker panels I may do. I am interested tio see yours Neill when you have done them.

Here you go, I bottled the full hide as this was my first attempt and it would break my heart. I managed to find some leatherette in a close match to practice with. Here are the before and after pictures.

Firstly big respect to the factory fitters, it isn't as easy as it looks.

Second lots of practice needed!

Before

After

I'll try to get some in the car as well

That looks good. What glue did you use? Did it go back on ok?

Had to use a combination of spray glue for most of it, contact glue on the corners and hot glue gun for the awkward bits.

Looks better in the car, have defo worked out the technique for getting back in.

So far I have retrimed the door cards and side speaker cards.
I bought fabric from www.efabrics.co.uk Suedette in Navy Blue but they have 11 colours and attached using a high strength spray glue. I think it looks an amazing transformation although sadly I didn't take any pics of the before. I may try the roof in the coming weeks. The material is lightweight and only £7 per mtr. Well worth it.
