Mine uses a little, half s tea cup or so every 1000 miles, cap is leaking a little and there is a small leak on a pipe, now fixed. Level should be at the bottom of the filler, I.e. Just visible.

Hope that helps

Coolant isnt visible in mine, if I top it up so that it is visible it escapes through the cap as steam. I have had TVR Power check it and they say its all fine, and that the level is self adjusting so if it is over filled it will vent until the level is right. I am assured by Dom that my cooling system is healthy.

Makes it tricky to check the level though!

Thanks guys thats just about how mine is, someone suggested my water pump needed replacing but things haven't changed over several years so I think I'll just keep an eye on it.

A tip from one of the mechanics at TVR Power to get a proper measure of the level - remove the bonnet and squeeze the hose where it goes into the rad (on the left as you look at the engine from the front). You should see the fluid level in the neck of the filler move/gurgle. If it does the level is fine, if it doesn't you need to add some water.

The problem with relying on what you see in the neck is that you can get some water sitting in there even if the level is low.

Mine needs very little topping up. I'd say less than 150mm in 3000+ miles
