hi, when i finaly get my brakes sorted, i,am going to risk putting my jago in for an m.o.t , so could someone give me some insight into what they will be looking to fail it on.

mine failed last time on seat belts and headlamp adjustment ...... oh and the steering bush

cheers for that. my seatbelts should be fine. (i've just got to fit them) is there anything else i should be checking?

They can check all the usual items, depends on the station. On Jago's the main concerns are brakes, track rod ends (steering play) lights and back bushes.

not sure, then fix anything you know about and be prepared to get ready for a quick retest if it does fail - best of luck

Having just got my Geep thru` the mot a few pointers;
If your reg doc does not state no. of seats then don't fit rear seat belts...if none fitted they can't be tested.
If no soft/hard top fitted no demister/heater req.
Watch out for seat mountings. As Chris has stated before LARGE spreader plates are acceptable, repair washers are not(mine originally had neither, just bolts thru the floor)
One windscreen wiper is acceptable, if its in front of the driver and you must have a washer.
TWO mirrors have to be fitted one drivers side and an interior,or two external. What part of the country do you live? Some mot test stations are more kit friendly than others...it may well pay to ask if anybody in your area knows of a geep friendly station.
