Newbie with some questions
Discussion
Hi all,
Newbie on-line, will hopefully be a Geep owner soon
Do new members get a round in here? If so my card's at the bar, what're ya drinking?
My mate has a black Geep for sale with a 2.0 Pinto, full soft-top, doors, electronic immobiliser etc. all in reasonably tidy condition but no tax or MOT. I had a look over it a few days ago and I think it should go straight thru the MOT with no probs (it passed last year). I can't afford yet another car to sit on my driveway until I've got time to fix it (I have two minis to fix this year).
Price to me is £600 - this seems OK to me, anyone got anything to add? Is there anything I should check before parting with my hard-borrowed cash?
What are Geeps like to insure? I'm 24 and live in a low-risk area so insurance isn't usually a problem for me, but I already have a modified Mini and a motorbike to insure! Can anyone recommend me an insurer who will do multi-car policies, most don't seem to offer this any more.
Thanks all,
ax

Hi
Hope you find this forum and if you do join the owners club helpful.
A good place to start looking for some of the answers you would like and possibly some you never thought of go to www.joctechnical.org.uk
On there I have compiled a FAQ page as well as lots of other interesting stuff.
Our other site www.transmissionsonline.org.uk is also worth a visit.
