Hi all Ive recently bought a jago geep brilliant little motor but it has a couple of small problems,
1st one being the bonnet hinges one has pulled through the fibreglass because of the bonnet being lent right back on the hinges, are there any alternative bonnet hinges?. 2nd the steering it is like driving a go cart are they all like this.
Many thanks

steering should not be that bad at all, check the tyre pressures, average for a jago should be around 25 psi -anything above that is over inflated

Alternative bonnet hinges which allow your bonnet to go all the way back unlike the "imp" type hinges are the stainless steel ones supplied by Emsworth Car & Cycle.

What tyre size do those pressures relate to? I test-drove a Geep with 15" wheels and huge tyres on Monday but the front-left was rubbing the strut over bumps.

The Geep had been standing for a few months and I wondered if the tyres had gone soft. It also had a habit of snaking left and right on the road, although that could just be a tendency of the tires. The wheel bearings are OK and the previous owner (a mate of mine) never had problems with tyres rubbing.

The tyres I have are "Nokia" all terrain 14's, local tyre shop and nokia confirm that as weight of Jago is +/- 700kg, then correct pressure would be between 23 and 25 psi, carefull experimentation to achieve the optimum control is required

previous owner of mine said 24 was max pressure on my 205/14's but my steering is still extremely direct - wonder if it has a quick rack on it??
