OK this may come as a shock to most if not all of you.
At the end of this year I will be resigning from all my roles in the club.
So the result of this is that if you wish the club to continue then the various positions on the committee will require filling.

I will still provide technical assistance on the two forums and by e-mail and of course by the technical web site which as I own and run it will continue.

I am not getting rid of our Jago's as they are our chosen method of transport but I can no longer provide the time to run the club.
I will attend any shows I can get to so will hopefully see some of you at some point.

I hope that some of the members are willing to take on the roles on the committee that are becoming vacant so the club can continue to provide the enjoyment to its members I have enjoyed over the many years I was involved in the club both as a member and as a committee member.

You can't leave us, not now!
seems there is a bit of a revival underway and things are looking up.
Ah well the Norfolk chapter is gaining strength so the seeds are sown for a new nucleus!
It's been a pleasure know you and I am sure I am not the only one who feels that you will be very much missed - thanks for everything - especially for the fact that your expertise is not going to be lost to us!

Hopefully as you say with there being renewed interest in folks getting together in their areas that the club is witnessing a revival.

I believe that new blood in the committee of the club will help this revival along.

If I could continue I would have done but as well as lack of time and health problems I wish to restart a hobby I enjoyed many years ago.

I will continue to enjoy driving and working on my own Jago vehicles and as I have said will be keeping folks informed technically via the forums and the technical web site so I will not be totally gone just so far as the club actives go.

thats bad news for the club and the members - an impossible act to follow i'd say but good to know you will still be around - how many positions do you hold? get well is the most import thing of course i'm sure all members who have met you or been helped on the net by you will hope youre health isnt affected for too long. now what hobby you gonna re start??? would have to be techy and mechanical in some way i'd guess somethin like r/c flying????

Unfortunately the health problem is a long term thing which will not get any better but can and like now does get worse on occasions when it is like being in hell.
I am hoping that with folks actually starting to talk to each other more on the forums that a revival of how the club was is just around the corner.
I would love to read on the forums that social events such as meets and holidays become popular and well attended events again. Over the past few years I had repeatedly tried to get folks to book onto various outings and club holidays but the interest did not seem to be there which was quite a sad thing to see.

Regards what posts I currently hold on the committee they are Club Secretary, Membership Secretary, Technical Secretary, I also was the magazine Editor up until the last issue that came out a month or two ago.

Oh yes regarding the old hobby that I am reviving you are pretty damn close it is R/C and involves flying but we are talking rotary wing rather than fixed wing. Yes in other words helicopters.
As you say it had to be something technical.
