Silicon Brake Fluid!!!!!
Discussion
hello - urgent problemo here! iv replaced my braking system on my jago, and before it ran off silicon brake fluid so thus it still needs to. but, where an earth do i get silicon brake fluid from? iv tried loads of places such as DSN, Ian Hardware etc etc. it seems that no one knows where they are sold or how to get it! its essential, obviously, that i run the braking system of silicon as was what was in it before. any ideas welcome! cheers in advance, charlie.

Hi
You should be able to get silicon brake fluid from either Demon Tweeks or Europa Specialist Spares.
If using Europa Specialist Spares their part number is
SBF2 for 250ml approx £5.95 + VAT
SBF5 for 500ml approx £12.73 + VAT
SBF1 for 1 litre approx £20.69 + VAT
Their phone number is 01283 815609
Why did you convert over to silicon fluid in the first place?

Hi
I wasn't getting at you for having silicon fluid in the system.
Its just that some people swear by it when in fact it compresses more than standard fluid so can make it feel soggy on the brakes.
Most likely put in by the previous owner as Ford only use standard fluid.
All the best.
