I thought I'd check with you lot to see if anyone of you still have old
Kit Car mags with Jago Ads in.
if you have let me know.
I'm really looking for the Jago 25th Anniversary one - it goes with the
museum project, but if any of you have any ads i'd be very keen to make a
collection.
High quality scans would be good - originals even better.
cheers

any ads would be interesting, but especially the 25th Anniversary one.

I have a magazine called alternative cars and it shows some jagos and it does a feature on my jeep WVN323S back in 1981 i think it is ! i got it of the bloke who built it back in 1978 when it was first regesterd. I now know the bloke who has told me lots of intresting things about it.

Now found what I was looking for- some documents handed to me at the Stoneleigh Show a few years ago by a Mr Sampson from Sheffield who did not want to throw them out:
An A4 envelope from Jago Automotive postmarked 5 May 1987.
An A3 full colour landscape poster with red geep Q822AFG with a list of 14 improvements on one side and 8 smaller pics on the reverse- all advertising the 1987 JAGO GEEP.
A three page A4 photocopied ad for the club- "All you ever wanted to know about the Jago Owners Club but were afraid to ask:" with an address in Tilehurst Reading. The second and third sheets are the "Jago Owners Club Constitution".
A data sheet referring to a dim-dip headlamps device to be fitted to geeps and samuris built after 1 Nov 1986.
A data sheet "Amendments to Jago Geep Manual Published 11/85" relating to the requirement for side indicator lights.
DOT document V355/1 Rev. May/79 "Notes on Completion of Vehicle Registration Forms (V55)"
Two copies of the A4 advert for the 25th Anniversary Jago Automotive Corgi Escort Van- only £4.50 incl p&p.
Of any interest Tony???
Cheers
Ian
PS I still have the original info and receipts from the purchase of my 105E based jeep (as we could call them then) from 1975. Will probably rise to the surface sometime.

I wrote the a4 ad - I was living in Tilehurst at the time!
I recently sold my Corgi Van to Chris - I think he has a number of them now... The A3 poster sounds interesting though - any chance you could get a colour copy made?
and I missed out on the Ebay Auction, so if anyone finds an ads for the 25th anniversary geep - the white one with gold and black stripes, please let me know.
cheers!
It's taken a while, I did not reply earlier because I knew I had some material from Jago but did not have any idea as to where I had (safely) put it away!
Today when tidying I found the folder. It contains the following: The A3 poster of Q822 AFG, a 1988 price list and order form and another from 1990 (both unmarked) , various technical notes, the April 87 brochure, the August 87 build manual, the SMMT warranty, the 1989 hard-top fitting instructions and many reciepts and invoices for Jago parts and services.
If any of you wish to see them or have copies it is not a problem, also if there is to be a museum type collection, either held or supported by JOC then they are available as a donation if wanted.

ps. still looking for an escort fuel sender - all usual suppliers have not been able to help.

Mother of all shocks!! The world is shrinking!!
Tuned into ebay to see this week's selection of sensational Jago offerings and to my huge surprise was confronted with an ad featuring one of our Jagos:- NPX 314Y -when it was young and beautiful and bright red.
(Maturity and UV radiation have made it that well known murky maroon/almost, but not quite, purple shade known as "faded Jago")
Does anyone know anything more about the history of the vehicle or what is in the ad?
If someone else buys it I wouldn't mind a peep at it and if I buy it I would make it available to the Club.
Intrigue!

Hi Howard,
the club is currently going through a reshuffle - I apologise for the confusion. Check your inbox - i've mailed you the new Membership Sec's details.
We aren't renewing memberships until 1st April but will join you up early I imagine for your insurance discount. More importantly, welcome aboard & hope to see you soon. Do you own a Jago or are you thinking of buying one?
Yours,
