...this is my Geep

Found this photo while trawling thru the technical site yesterday. It still looks much like this. It's got a 2-litre pinto engine hiding under the bonnet.

Needs a little work doing:

brake overhaul - failed master cylinder and rear wheel cylinders rusted

new exhaust - I plan to fit a spare gold carbon can from my motorbike

hole in fuel tank - will be inspecting closely at the weekend

possible failed accelerator pump jet - engine stutters on sudden acceleration - possible new carb or carb rebuild required...

various bits tidied - will tidy up the wiring loom, repaint some of the rusty underbonnet members, give the engine a good service and tune-up, fix up some of the gouges and cracks in the bodywork

Otherwise it's pretty sound.

If I can get away for a bit I'll try to catch some of you guys at the Stafford show

'reckon that's one nice looking Jeep. If you don't want to keep it I'll try and find something rusty to swap it with!!
Good luck,
Gerry

before you go changing pumps or servicing the carb, make sure you have an in-line filter and get rid of the gauze on the fuel tank pick up, if you have enough corrosion to make the tank leak the gauze will be shot to hell
good luck with her

Cheers for the heads-up Dave, I've got a spare filter lying around - will install that as part of my "overhaul plans"
