so, if ur fitting a new soft top onto a jeep, what is the best way and who is it done by (master covers?). because iv been puzzling over the wee matter and realised thats the only way might be to make fittings on the body itself. this could look bad for when the soft top is not on for example. any suggestions? also what is master covers phone number?

Apparently Master Covers no longer do the soft top for the Jago.
We are often asked about where to get a soft top and the easy answer (most of the time) is by going to a boat chandlers (with your Jago) and getting them to do it for you.
For folks in the Midlands there is J & H Trimmings
Ashwood Marina, Greensforge, Ashwood, Kingswinford whose phone number is 01384 279527

Regards the fixing of the soft top to the Geep/Sandero body this is usually by "pop stud" fixings screwed onto the upper side of the body to correspond with the fasteners on the hood.
There is (on the mid to later versions) some extra metalwork which goes on top of the windscreen frame.
Most have either an extra (thinner) tube fixed to the main roll over bar or "handle" like attachments fixed to the curve of the two sides of the roll over bar. This is to set the roof out from the roll over bar so making it align with the doors.
I hope this is of some help.
