Hi Gary
Looks like a good price from Clarke although I don't know what their p&p charges are like. I did manage to get a pair of replacement diodes for my battery charger/starter from them very reasonably.

Would be quite easy to make one as well if you have a mig and a few metres of 50mm x 1mm steel.

Your query has prompted a question: how much fuel can you carry/store like that??? I know that it's illegal to store more than 2 gallons in a domestic garage. Theoretically one could convert the whole load space to a fuel tank (remember the 200 gallon Mini stunt???) but just how many jerrycans can you get away with on a vehicle??? Anyone...
Cheers
Ian

I've checked with a guy from traffic police hazmat unit. He states that you can store 250 kg of fuel on a car without it being a tanker. He went on about 10 kg units and class 2 and other stuff but lost me. I asked would it be ok to stick 10 or 20l on the back and he said yes

Well that could have got me to Newark and back without refuelling.
Thanks
