Which Kit mag - a mention at last

Is there more we can do as members to achieve more exposure in kit mags? Such as letters, etc?

Sure thang.

Show/Meeting attendance is always welcome of course.

But regards letters, etc - anything Mark can put in the club mag' would be of value as it shows that we have an active membership. Whether an article on your Jago or adventures, even a letter to the committee that you think would be of interest.

If you write any letters to a magazine, refer to yourself as a JOC member*.

I thought about adding a comment this morning along the lines of what Drseg has posted but my question regarding the constiution is where does it say "The Jago owner must join in a Puritanical revival and give up all traces of a sense of humour"!!

What's this about Dave? Don't you receive the hardcore edition of Transmissions already? Mine always comes in a plain wrapper...

Also this forum is a good source- I'll tip you the wink when the next edition arrives. Petrol Ted is not always quick enough to remove it before it can be downloaded.

Must be another mag called Transmissions , Ive just read through the content of next month's issue and we dont even have mention of a bare chassis.

So if anyone is doing a body-off restoration project hows about an article with pics for our hard-core Jago readers?

Could always do a "reader's rides" section , send me a brief write-up about you and your Jago with a pic of you posing next to it , one or two of you may have to wear old clothes , all that dust could ruin em......

Anyway I'm off into the garage to read my copy of Escort or is it Fiesta ?

I do not have an office in the Jago owners club.

for ten years I was the Jago owners club, I've built three Geeps and owned four.

Out of respect for my efforts my fellow members made me honorary president for life.

I really don't appreciate your aggression.

perhaps someone would do me the decency of explaining just what it is that has got up everyone's nose about me.

I think there's some disinformation circulating that has annoyed people. I'd like to know what it is so I can either agree and apologise, or challenge and explain.

I don't get any other benefits.

I don't have a free Geep or a salary or anything. but I do care about what happens to the club, it was a big part of my life for many years.

Someone please explain what I've done that is so bad that people spit fire and challenge me to a duel at every turn. It can't just be that I jokingly suggested we check the constitution? there must be more to it than that.

Why shouldn't someone who owned four Geeps and gave ten years of their life to the owners club still be part of it, even if they don't have a jago now?

I was upset to see the unprovoked attack on Tony by someone who obviously does not know him or the history of the club. I have known Tony for over 15 years and his commitment to the club should not be under estimated.

I hope in future this forum will be used to promote the club and help Jago owners and not used for personal attacks. That is not the JOC I know!
