Geoff Jago has opened his railway at Stanstead Park in Hampshire, in case anyone is interested, go to:

http://stanstedlightrailway.com/index.html

for more details.

I only mention this 'cos I'm into live steam as well.

I know he has been working on it for quite a while. Glad to hear it is now up and running.

with a little organisation would be a good place to "do" a run to especially for the caledonian crew [just kidding] would be a nice thing if a throng of Jagos turned up - dont ya think?

Include me in, as long as it's not until I've got mine on the road again. Otherwise it's the Rover........

Bumped -

The idea of a run looks like it could be an idea for the summer - certainly for those of us in the South of England who have a long trek to make for Stonleigh and Newark.

Who else might be interested.

Sounds like a top idea - providing Geep is ready to roll!

Anyone from the south west fancy a summer road trip?

seems like a popular idea - now we just have to look at a calender and geoffs site to set a date imagine the view....thousands of...hundereds of .....well lots of jagos jagoing through the gate - i'm not the greatest organiser in the world [thats an understatement] but i feel its worth a little effort on my part to list the dates that are other important jago club dates newark capesthorne wadebridge and the dates Geoff's railways open please post important dates locally to you on here and i'll attempt [and probably fail] to co-ordinate a selection of possible dates - unless anyone has a better idea of how to make this happen????? i leave it open to as many comments / ideas that anyone has

Might be worth someone contacting Geoff re the other topics in discussion such as possible numbers re the various models of kits that left the company

Just taken a look at the web site. Could I suggest we try for August Bank Holiday.
Does anyone live / know the area because it would be a good idea to locate a camp site. - If other people agree as the run there is nearly 250 miles for me - about 150 for Aquasigns etc. If we include a camp more people will be able to get there.
Of course camp sites may not have spare capacity at Bank Hol in which case any other weekend.

im game for the trip! if we could find a camp site before hand and maybe make aware that there could be a substantial amount of jago owners about to come and disturb the peace.............
