Registered in 1984. Based on a MK1 or Mk2 Escort Mexico 1600, unsure which but I expect you experts will know!! Dash is the one with 6 round dials - mexico/rs all dials work!!
I bought it a year ago with no MOT. Did all the work required and MOT'ed it. MOT expires beginning of August.
Chassis is like new, looks like its been dry stored most of its life could just do with a lick of paint!! When I got it tax disk was 1994 so been off the road for 10 years!!
Roof all in good condition including canvas though its not water tight, needs new rubber. Bucket seats don't match, I ran out of money to buy new ones!
Has twin Webber Carbs that are not set up right and timing is slightly out, does drive. No air filters fitted at present. I have standard 1600 escort carb and inlet manifold but not got round to fitting them!
Tyres have loads of grip. Weller’s are massive 15 inch 275 wide!! Two have been painted - two need repainting.
Basically a very sound fun kit car that just needs a little cosmetic attention. Orange gel coat is good, couple of scratches and discoloured areas but should polish up fine; I've not tried yet!! Has tow bar fitted.
All brake parts are new and they are good!!
Needs a good home!!

Car is in Luton at my parents. I live in Peterborough. For info call 07973 641802 which is my number, viewing will be arranged at weekends. Only paperwork I have is current MOT certificate and Log book, oh and 1994 tax disc!! No other receipts, history or anything!!
