Hi Boys
Has anyone any idea of - how many
Jago cars were made by Jago ?
How many kits were sold ?
How many are on the road ?
How many are NOT on the road ?
How many have found their way abroad ?
etc...

...thinking that Jago Developments may be able to help with some of the the questions, although one or two of the JOC membership may know ? If not, perhaps the man himself could possibly be contacted thru the Railway site...

Somehow I don't think that Jago will suffer the "Lotus Eleven" syndrome whereby 270 were made but 300 survive...

I did have a number for the Geep/Sandero's and the Samuri's produced.
I know the Geep/Sandero's are over 1,000 and the Samuri was about 170.

Would not know where to start with the moulds but, I do know a man who perhaps would be interested!
is there a jig for the chassis? or at least the engineering drawings - bread and butter to me and it's time I found something to do that paid for my hobby!
as they said in a famous TV series "we have the technology"

On the subject of chassis a couple of points.

(i) Bellfield already do a chassis that takes Sierra running gear - although that is getting a bit long in the tooth.

(ii) If I were going to set up making kits, I would reckon the way to go is to avoid the SVA if possible. This could be achieved by modifying the kit / donor chassis by doing a mod to use either a Suzuki or Dhaitsu Jeep chassis and mechanicals. Or if sticking with 2 wheel drive how about a shortened Sherpa, Freight Rover 200 series, LDV Pilot the chassis is the same the changes are cosmetic and in the engine and transmission.
