And now, jut to get my five posts in a row, I have a couple of Escort Estate fuel tanks to sell.

One is in good nick apart from surface rust on the filler neck, the other was fuel-tight when removed, but is dented on the bottom and rust damage to flange.

I'd like £70 for the good one and £35 for the damaged one. Or make me an offer.

Photos on request by email to technical <at> dalog.co.uk if anyone is interested.

"Or make me an offer."

Dave the Steam: you've sold me some good parts at reasonable prices in the past. I still mean to get a heater matrix modded with the 18mm in & out pipes.

Cheers
Ian

Oh well,

I paid ove £100 for my new one when I built the Geep. I didn't know you could still get them, let alone at half the price. Sorry, I wasn't trying to rip anybody off intentionally.

Guess I'll have to think about the price now, I'll let you know.

... "turd on a stick kebab" ... did actually need a little more salt...

Dave the Steam recommended a mod to the standard Mini heater matrix involving replacing the input and output pipes with 18mm pipes (NOT just adding adaptors) which radically increased the water flow and hence the heater output- even gave me the phone number of a local outfit who'd do it. I expect any branch of Serck would be able to.

wasnt the mini heater same as it was in '59?
or close?
mines like ice cream tubs round a cortina type matrix mounted sideways with a fan in there - it works

Hi again, I've checked this out and the delivered price for a new one is £59.93 inc. VAT

It will cost me £13 to send either tank anywhere, so how about £38 delivered for the good one and £26 delivered for the dented one.

I won't get a lot out of this but they have to go - I need the space.

If anyone is still interested let me know.
