Up coming events?
Discussion
So, I've just bought a Jago (loving every minute of it!). Just wondering if anyone out there could let me know if there are any events coming up where I can meet some like minded jago owners? I'm based in Hampshire. Am I right in thinking that there is a Jago club somewhere in the Southwest?
Hi Rizzo and welcome.
There are a few of us in the SW but no club other than the JOC as far as I know.
The only South West event specific to kits is the Exeter show which is held on a sunday in November
Im in Somerset and there are owners in Devon and Cornwall, who will im sure, get in touch

Hi Rizzo,
Welcome aboard. It would be nice to think that there's a South West Jago Club, but as Dave's said, there are a few of us in the S.West but no specific club.
No doubt Aquasigns may well contact you as he's a Hampshire lad, although he's now living in Devon. I'm in Cornwall along with one or two others. You are, obviously in one of the better parts of the UK, and it won't be long before you get contacted by one or two of the cloth capped ferret brigade from upt'north, who are, on the whole, a jolly fine bunch of fellows.
I guess I'd better initiate you to the club and ask what colour Jeep you got mate?
Good luck with your Jago, and enjoy Harrogate. I'm now off to my bunker to avoid the impending torrent of northern witty comments on what I can do with one of my pasties lol
All the Best

Yeah Welcome aboard Rezzo,
Theres no firm figure for turning up at Harrogate but as Sedgey sez, 10 plots are booked.
Don't worry, if you turn up we'll make sure there's space.
As for Exeter, a few of us Northerners & Midlanders are expecting to get there as well. There aren't official 'club stands' outside at Exeter - just a big car park for the kits, but any of us turning up should find space to park together.
As for local meets in your area - we're not aware of any at present but if any are organised then give it a mention on here & in Transmissions guys.

Hi still here few miles to the west of Driftwood. But due to circumstances very quiet at present.
Those of you in the SW who got the gist before Newark, my partner Nora didn't make it. She was so uncomplaining the BIG C was well advanced. Shit I was not going to lay this on you all and I am sorry for going off the thread.
When everything is over I will be fitting that Sierra 1.8 meanwhile a mint little Dutton melos has fallen into my hands for a "song" - only needs a new engine.
I shall definitely be at Exeter -

It's a hit or miss job getting on this stream.
It's taken I don't know how many attempts to get past Swizz's entry to try and answer you Dave.
I bumped the Railway posting for Rizzo's benefit, but no one has picked it up so far..........perhaps I should have raised it as a new posting ? Having said that, I raised the Exeter Kit Car Show as a new posting and that's in freefall lol.
Just hope tomorrows a better day

Quick update on the 1800 lump. Therapy - anything to not think - The lump and gearbox is all freed up and awaits the engine hoist.
Then the fun and games start -
1. Fabricating new engine mounts.
2. I think I have to fabricate a new altenator mount - or modify the chassis - Mount will be easier.
3. Install the subloom and ignition gubbins aka blackboxes.
The good news is Exeter is a long way away.
The not so good news is the weather - school holidays etc., and the weather god is having his / her (must not be sexist) annual joke on all the Emmets visiting "Sunny Cornwall". We all know when September comes and the Emmets have gone the sun will shine again.
