:phone: Recently, I asked Jago Developments to help solve the problem of Geeps without chassis numbers.

As most of you will know, later Geeps had the chassis number stamped into the n/s strut tower.

Jago's Colin replied suggesting that earlier Geeps had the chassis number stamped on the chassis rail below the front strut towers.
We had a very early Anglia based Geep at Harrogate last Sunday with no numbers in the usual place - however this one had been modified to take Escort struts so the towers had been rewelded, which we suggested was why no numbers were present. If the owner is reading this he might find the numbers below on the main rail as advised.

Another possible scenario suggested by Geoff when Colin asked, was that any early '80s Geeps without numbers may be one of the copies made illegally in Ireland.:judge:

I found my chassis Number today, not on the upright of the tower but on the flat plate the top of the strut comes through - so if this was modified for different struts the number would be removed.
