Crossflow head bolt tightening?
Discussion
According to my Haynes manual, after you've put all the bolts in finger tight its:
Spark plug side centre bolt, opposite side centre bolt, spark plug side next down (towards bulkhead) from centre bolt, otherside next forward from centre bolt (towards front of car), spark plug side next forward from centre bolt, otherside next down from centre bolt, spark plug side front bolt, otherside rear bolt, spark plug side rea bolt and finally other side front bolt.
Hope that makes sense. I think as long as you start with the two centre bolts and work backwards and forwards diagonally that's ok.
When I've done it in the past I've tightend each in order a bit at a time until they're all finally torqued down to 65/70lbs/ft
All the best.
