Strange question but what are people using as heaters. I persuaded the old Escort one to come out (it tok#ok alot of that), partly because it didn't work very well and it was too big.

SO what are people using instead, if anything instead.

my jeep has a mini heater in it but you had to travell around 60 miles for it to start to make any diffrence and it was only single speed aswell, but now i have a diffrent inlet manifold and it dosent accept a heater, but as i only use my jeep on decent days and only in summer it dosent matter to me.

Legally you must have some form of heating to demist the windscreen.
Mini heaters are often used.
Another unit that have been fitted is the Honda Acty van heater.
We make our own heater units which are very effective (T-shirt in the car and thick coat outside type good).

You can buy various after market devices such as those sold by Europa Specialist Spares, Stafford Vehicle Components etc.

i also tried a mini 1 as stated but found it wasnt good enough!! my geep has had the battery moved to behind the front light and had the old battery place cut out and boxed in to the same shape as the rest of the bulk head, leaving more room for a bigger better heater!! my has a land rover heater in it and works really well!!

One of my spies tells me that to make a Mini heater work well, have the matrix replaced with one that has 15mm pipes. You need to contact Liz at Clayton Heaters.

Tel 024 7669 1811
Fax 024 7669 1969

Make sure you specify you want proper' 5/8" not 5/8" connections brazed over the top of the 1/2" Mini connections.

Cheers
