How can i check my coil, to see if its working 100%. i aint getting a spark and iv checked and changed leads, plugs, dizz, car, arm. So i beleive it be my coil.

Is there a way to check it.

Also guys, whats the easiest was to put a exhaust on my jago, i have one but for the love of me cant get it on. its off a 1979 escort 2door saloon.

Is there a better easier.one to use

thanks

OK here is a way of testing your ignition coil.
Remove the HT lead from the terminal of the coil. Fit a spark plug into the terminal the HT lead came from and attach a wire to the outside of the threaded part of the spark plug.
Earth this wire to the chassis (so it feeds back to the negative side of the battery).

Get another piece of wire and attach this to the negative connection on the coil (the one that goes to the distributor) Touch the end of this wire on an earth point on the chassis several times (with the ignition switched on of course.)
If the coil is working then the spark plug should spark.
If no spark then either the feed to the coil is faulty or the coil is dead.

Regards the exhaust if you have got a cross flow engine and the Escort exhaust then usually it can involve a little bit of cutting and welding (or flaring to make joints) to modify the exhaust system to fit better than just trying to stick it on as is.
Remember the Escort is longer than the Geep (Sandero).
