Help can anyone please advise! I am in the process of converting from Mk1 mexico to Crapri 5 speed box. Geep is fitted with Mex pedle box (hydraulic) and I have a Mk2 peddle box available. Old build manual says to use special clutch cable with Mk2 Peddle box and standard with Mk1. Which cable should I order and which box should I use

Check out the parts page on www.joctechnical.org.uk regards the right clutch cable to use.

Either the capri or Sierra 5 speed box will fit the Jago.
Which engine are you using?

This will allow me to recommend the right clutch set up.

Its a drawn out job, box is in place but it will have to come out again, mexico sump will foul starter on LHS. Strugling to find an output UJ but Im sure it will all be worth it in the end. Just to cap it all, my garage is full of NG TC with front suspension stripped so im having to work outside and its been sleeting all day. Can now reccomend thermal overals which at £27 have been a bargain. Tarra Im off for a stiff drink.

I am guessing you have the Mexico sump with the wings.

If all else fails obtain a standard sump for the engine. Providing the oil pick up is situated in the main pan of the sump and the crankshaft and big ends clear it should not present any problems.

YaaaHeee she`s back on the road. A word of warning, type 9 gearbox uj couplings are getting like hens teeth, had to buy one from Ian Harwood as there were none in local scrappys. Sounded like a bag of hammers when started, a big end was hitting side of sump. Cured with propane blowlamp.
