Can anyone offer any advise to a new owner??
I am looking for a set of top hinges for the front doors - where can I go? Jago no longer supply.
Also I currently only have rear indicators - no other lights are operating - any ideas?? Could be something simple, but not had chance to have a good look yet!
Has anyone had experience of finding a good outdoor cover for their pride and joy?? Mine is sitting on the drive at the moment and could do with being covered. Any help would be gratfully appreciated.

hinges are really simple, 1" * 1/4" flat steel 3" long, the door half of each hinge has a welded ferrule to take 1/4" round. the lower body hinge has a 1/4" spigot welded on, long enough to pass through the door hinge, the upper hinge has a 1/4" threaded spigot again passing through the door hinge but long enough to add a lock nut and threaded collar, turned to fit the hole in the windscreen top section.

by cover, I presume you mean something like a tonneux (?spelling?) cover - any sailing type people will be able to point you in the right direction. Otherwise perhaps someone has some soft top rails waiting for a new home, techsec will surely be able to tell you who makes good replacement tops!

Sorry - the cover I'm looking for is a wet-weather protection cover, the Jago has to sit on the drive and I want to protect it against sun and rain etc. especially over the winter.

Thanks for the info on the hinges!

If you are after a "car cover" then you should find such items at a motor factors. I know that a standard "large car" cover will easily cover a Geep/Sandero as we had one for a while when doing renovation work on one of our jago's.
The quality of them can vary for example to the one we had fell a part after two years of constant use out in the open.
Thankfully the Jago is rebuilt enough that the cover is not required any longer.

If your Jago has got weather gear (soft top or hard top ) fitted then there should not really be a need for a cover but as I say they are out there.

Oh yes re the lights check with a multi meter to ensure power is getting through. Also worth checking the fuses as the Escort fuse box is prone to corrosion.
As the body is fibreglass all the lights need to have good earth links to the chassis so trace the loom back and check earthing connections.

On the subject of the loom there is a chance that either the wires have deteriorated or the plugs are disconnected or corroded.

Dave has answered the question of the hinges so I don't need to add anything there.
