Thumbs down for new Astra

My girlfriend has a 2001 Astra and likes it. She saw a new Astra go by us today for the first time and she said "Oooh, I don't like that, I don't like that at all....I thought it was a Megane!" (She hates the Megane).

Guess that makes two of us. I think it looks bloody awful and what are Vauxhall doing with that rear cheap chrome strip again?

Personally I think the new Astra looks way better than the old one...although you are spot one about that rear chrome strip-it looks really crap on both the Vectra and the Astra

I think the new Astra looks great.

The new Megane is great too. Distinctive and different.

Having seen the new Astra...I honestly could not explain to Mrs Toffer how ugly the front was, so we had to go back together. She though it was a Megane with a "buggered up PT Cruiser front end"...and isn't it big...should be room for the Barry's to fit "special" exhausts in a couple of years.

IMHO the new Astra is one of the few cars you can just glance at and know it is going to depreciate faster than you can burn fivers on a garden bonfire!
