In march, Toyota started selling the FJ CRUISER in right hand drive form. The downside is it's only available in Australia.

So, my question here is...why the douche aren't they being sold in the UK (not to mention Japan)? All they need to do is throw in a diesel lump. There's a lot of love for this curious looking soviet-era-esque styled tonka toy wannabe. It's basically a re-shelled Landcruiser with hose down interior, decent off-road ability and unique styling. And due to the rather large following the model has in the US it comes with a decent after market catalogue of parts which keeps things interesting. There's even a TRD model (and sinister all black stealth model)! You only have to google the thing to see what can be achieved.

Oh well...it's going to be another long, cold winter...

Saw one of these on Monday here in Belgium. I didn't know what it was, but it looks the dogs nads! It was parked up at the local LPG tank station. Sounded very fruity as it drove away.

You're not really missing out on anything. We have these here in the States and they're not exactly setting the sales charts on fire. Ugly styling, horrible packaging, near useless back seats, somewhat iffy (and very un-Toyota like) build quality and horrendous fuel thirst all conspire to make the FJ the exclusive preserve of die-hard masochists only.

Why settle for a poor imitation like the FJ when you can easily buy a Land Rover and have the real thing?
