What women (drivers) want
Discussion
While male drivers crave leather seats and walnut dashboards, the ideal car interior for women includes a built-in vacuum cleaner and trim which changes colour to co-ordinate with their clothes, a researcher has found.
A survey of female motorists by Coventry University student Alex Watkin also found they wanted lightweight doors, oversized buttons and controls, and a magnifying mirror in the sun visor to aid make-up application.

Yup. But just think how many cars marketed towards the female market have mirrors on the driver's sun visor... and then there's the beetle's dashboard vase ...
I'm going to tell Louise you were dissing her car
, she only bought that car because it had a vase. >> Edited by thepeoplespal on Friday 11th June 21:21
Once upon a time I took Mrs C to the Kit Car and Racing Car show at Stoneleigh.
I told her it would be a show devoted to cars. I suggested that she might like to invite a couple of her friends round. She still wanted to go.
We found ourselves at the Caterham stand. Mrs C liked it. It had friendly eyes! Mrs C found out that it went fast. At the end of the day where was Mrs C? In the Caterham driving seat. It needed a home according to Mrs C. Mrs C thought that a Caterham would be happy living with us.
I pointed out that a certain test had to be passed before she could drive one.
Guess who jumped out of the car when we got home, grabed the Yellow Pages and booked some driving lessons.
It seems that some women want a Caterham Seven with race harness seat belt, aero screens, cycle wing front mud guards and "friendly eyes".
