V8 for Volvo

New Yamaha Engine for the Swedes

Volvo's new SUV - the XC90 - will get a V8 in due course. Volvo's CEO recently told USA Today that the marque is to use a 320bhp 4.4 litre motor in the SUV with other cars in the range using it in due course.

The engine has been commissioned from Yamaha by Volvo.

And a lot of "Volvo XC90 V8 - Premiera XC90 z silnikiem V8 zapowiadana jest na grudzien´ 2004 roku"

Sounds good! The car is a tad too big soo a V8 lump should fit to get it into BMW Viagra X5 territory

The smaller Yamaha V8 absorbs energy better than the Ford plants. When bumped into that is . . . (Hope not into mine . . .)

T6 chipped and souped up gets 304hp/431nm . . .

Beemers X5 also has a V8 4.4 with 320 hp.

Us market calls I guess . . .

Isn't Fords 1.7 Puma a Yammy?
