Yeah they had flat seats,if you took a corner to sharply then off you would slide,had bloody good brakes though.

They were no worse than everything else about at the tim, albeit a lot uglier.

However, the Datsun 240Z was epic.

I remember those good old days...the Datsuns always started, whatever the weather....whilst the British cars would just turn over and groan....

A load of Datsun pre market test cars and parts were being transported to the Sahara for hot weather testing they were being transported in a C130 Hurcules , the rear load doors of the plane failed and a number of the cars which were not secured properly fell out the back and hurtled to the ground , The incident was reported in the local press ,the report read .” loss of load from aircraft causes locals to comment that it was raining Datsun cogs over the desert “
