Fleeting Accidents
Witchhunt on to bring first Corporate negligence allegation for road crash?
Discussion
About time too - While I appreciate the damage a truck will do if the driver goes to sleep etc the same will occur if a 'rep' etc goes to sleep on a motorway causes a trcuk swerve and cross the reservation etc.
mates of mine are expected to get out of bed at 5 in the morning, drive to Scotland, spend all day in meetings, take clients out to dinner and then drive home, a nineteen hour day, how dangerous is he in the last 30 mins of his journey.
Ok he can get another job etc but someone will then fill his place and work the same hours.

Couldn't agree more! It really winds me up that I (Atric Driver) have to park up for the night 3/4 of an hour from home, due to running out of hours at the end of a fifteen hour day, because it would be dangerous to continue, where as "Jock McTavish" (appologies to anyone north of the border) can work all day in a Glaswegien factory, then go home, hitch up his caravan and drive to Cornwall, perfectly legally! Something has to change! (Rant Over)
