I always wonder about the other side:

1) and 1100 removed from use
2) forgetting that you need to swap buses to complete your journey now because of the number of routes withdrawn
3) and 3,216 dis-approved!

Government spin on everything means that whatever they announce that makes them look good, put the worst interpretation on it you can imagine and you're probably near the truth.

I didn't used to be so cynical, but I've been doing some business lately with a politically inclined type (not an actual 'Politician' - yet) - gee what an eye opener, I just cannot trust the guy, and the assessment process I've described above usually turns out to be surprisingly close to the truth.

It should also be noted that the low cost airlines have thrived without the help of central government; so how can Presscott take any credit for anything!
