Oh for Petes' sake, personalised plates are generally for tossers only. Why not buy a decent car? Most personalised plates are on all kinds of junk.

Just had a quick look at the website. Must confess I didn't think of the MR51 NGH, but I did a search on **51 MON (?? SIMON) and guess what!!! They're all up for auction!! Surely the DVLA isn't condoning adjusting the spacing...... is it? and surely they are not trying to make a great pot of cash out of people who are bound to try it on.

OK, Instead of working out how many ways we can spell penis on a registration plate, I need some help from you guys. What we need to do is find actual adverts that show the DVLA selling plates such as K1NGS etc. If it's listed in a list of auctioned plates its no good. They need to be using the plate to advertise. Let's see what we can find and get on their backs! Once ASA have done the initial complaint review I should get a confirmation number - I think they will come back asking for actual adverts rather than a general complaint so I want to pre-empt this. Feel free to mail to [e-mail] or post up here what you find.
