The weather was cold and damp for the latest event in the BRSCC Porsche Championship but this did not affect what was an excellent weekend of racing at the home of British Motorsport, Silverstone.

The Jasmine Team were in attendance over the full weekend and were happy to speak to visitors at their stand. In their supporting role, they also received some great feedback from the race teams that Jasmine had supplied parts to over the two day event.

Richard Styrin kept up his pace from the Rockingham event as he qualified in pole position for the first Race of the weekend followed by Steven Boyles in 2nd and Will Sharpe coming a close 3rd. In the Porsche 924 Class, Hen Sharpe qualified fastest with Alastair Kirkham and Simon Hawksley not far behind.

Rain and hailstones made Race 1 very interesting with early spin offs by Nick Hull and Adam Croft but this did not stop Richard Styrin holding his 1st position, with Jonathan Greensmith coming 2nd and Steven Boyles 3rd. Hen Sharpe set a fast pace in the 924’s and finished 1st followed by Clive Morison and Alastair Kirkham.

On Sunday light rain came down just before Race 2 but this did not affect what was an excellent race which saw Will Sharpe fight his way through to finish 2nd holding off Steven Boyles, with the ever tenacious Richard Styrin coming 1st . Once again Hen Sharpe dominated the 924’s taking first place in with Alastair Kirkham and Clive Morison battling for second place.

Will Sharpe leads the Boxster championship by 4 points from Steven Boyles, with Richard Styrin in 3rd. Two class wins for Hen Sharpe put him in second place overall in the 924 class ahead of Simon Hawksley, both drivers trailing class leader Clive Morison by 8 and 24 points respectively.

The event was captured by Motors TV who selected the Jasmine stand as their prime filming location for interviewing the drivers.

The 3rd Round will be held at Zandvoort in Holland on 8th and 9th June 2013.
